URINETOWN...the Musical!
Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann
Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis
Directed by Christopher Gladysz
Musical Direction by Melissa Jones
Produced by Judy Brewster and Stacy Dumont

What is Urinetown? It's a sidesplitting send-up of greed, love, revolution (and musicals!), in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, URINETOWN is a hilarious musical satire which provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage caused by a 20-year drought has led the citizens to use public amenities because of a government-enforced ban on private toilets. A hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! URINETOWN is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny. URINETOWN has an outrageous perspective, a wickedly modern wit and a sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.

The cast includes Jim DeBlasi, John Palacio, Bob Dumont, Jenna Isabella, Judy Brewster, Gina Stanton, Mario Riccobon, Pam DeHuff, Paul Stein, Steven Zerilli, Brandy Mae Hughes, Ken Shelby, Christopher Moser, Marty Posner, Stacy Dumont, Janette Divine, Emily Malavenda, Anthony Bollella, Scott Woolley, Sean O'Hara, Jesse DeHuff, Amanda Bevacqua, Martina Rossi, Michele Dugan, GaBriella Decicco, and Talia Rubeo.

This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program, with public funds provided through the NYS Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Legislature.
