Brewster Golfer Tees Off Today at US Open

24 year-old, Michael Miller is at the national championship of American golf, the U.S. Open,  in Oakmont, PA. Mike shot 6-under 138 to garner one of the six available spots in the Summit, N.J., sectional conducted at Canoe Brook Country Club.  He advanced out of local qualifier at Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, N.Y. with a 71.

Mike gave Westchester Magazine the following quote:

“I’ve been trying to qualify since I was 15, so to finally do it is really satisfying,” Miller said. “I haven’t played Oakmont, but I know it’s going to be very challenging. It’s not too far away, so I’m hoping to get some family and friends out there and have an awesome time.”

Mike tees off 8:46 a.m. today off #1, with Matthew Borchert & amateur Charlie Danielson.

Good luck to Mike! We'll be cheering you on in Brewster!
