The Future looks bright for Brewster Football

Brewster Youth Football has two teams that qualified for the Taconic Youth Football playoff bracket, their 10U and 12U Teams. If they win on October 30th, they will play for the championship at Michie Stadium, in West Point. This is the first time that Brewster has 2 teams that qualified for the playoffs. Only the 4 top teams within each age group make the playoffs.

The Taconic Youth Football and Cheer is comprised of 13 organizations from Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties. They include Yonkers, New Rochelle, Poughkeepsie, Mahopac, Somers and Carmel to name a few. There are 6 levels of play, based on age, and they range from 8U to 13U. The competitive divisions start at the 9U level. Brewster is one of the smaller towns based on school district size, but based on participants, it was the second largest program in the league. While participation in youth football has decreased significantly for many towns, it's thriving in Brewster.

With the success of Brewster's Varsity team, which is currently 8-0 and playing in the Section 1A Semi's this week, and their Junior Varsity program which is 5-2 this season, the future does look very bright for Brewster Football for years to come.
