Update on Metro North Harlem Line service interrupted

 

 

Update at 2pm: Harlem Line Service remains suspended between North White Plains and Mount Kisco. Train service is being provided between Grand Central Terminal and North White Plains and between Mount Kisco and Wassaic. Please continue to check this page or www.mta.info/mnr. We will post more information as it becomes available.

Metro North Railroad reports service on the Harlem Line is suspended indefinitely due to a train derailment in the Hawthorne area. Railroad officials report a train car derailed after striking a down tree in the vicinity of the Hawthorne station at about 1 pm today. It is unknown at this time if anyone was injured in the accident however local and county police are on the scene at this time. Metro North also reports several downed trees in the vicinty of the Hartsdale Station of the Harlem Line as well as near Old Greenwich on the New Haven line, which is causing service delays of 30 minutes in some cases.
