Brewster Village nearly a ghost town due to "A Day Without Immigrants" Campaign

Protesting president Trump's immigration policy came to Brewster Village today, February 16th, in the form "A Day without Immigrants Campaign". No public protests were held but at least fifteen stores that are owned by immigrants shut their doors in solidarity to show their displeasure with the new administrations policies. Main Street, usually bustling with activity was devoid of patrons and workers and resembled a ghost town at 3 pm today. There were very few cars parked along Main Street and even fewer people on foot. Most of the pedestrians refused to comment on the protests but one or two said it was no "big deal" and they would just go to other stores or neighboring towns for their needs for the day. Most of the businesses are expected to re open February 17th as usual.
