Nicole Marlowe of Brewster interns at Disney World through SUNY Oswego

Nicole A. Marlowe of Brewster took part in an internship in spring 2017 through SUNY Oswego's Center for Experiential Learning. A senior majoring in theatre, she interned with Walt Disney World in Orlando.

The Center for Experiential Learning at Oswego places students in internships and career awareness opportunities that allow them to earn college credits while garnering valuable life experience.

During the last year, more than a thousand Oswego students took part in experiential learning while working at hundreds of businesses, nonprofit agencies and government offices and on campus in dozens of departments and programs -- not counting the hundreds of student teachers working in area schools.

She is an Entertainment Stage Technician at Walt Disney World on a Professional Internship.  She also held another Professional Internship last summer for Disney Studios, working at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood California and got credit through Oswego.  She started all of this two years ago when she did the College Program through Disney and was a Kilimanjaro Safari Driver for almost 7 months, again getting credit for her internships.  She was also a speaker at Oswego for the College Program and did presentations to students who were thinking about joining the program.

Nicole states, "I've been blessed to have been given so many opportunities. It was my time at SUNY Oswego that gave me the experience I needed to be able to excel in technical theatre, and now here I am doing it in the most magical place in the world!"
