Current, former, and graduating dancers from the Seven Star School of Performing Arts Senior Competitive Dance Team celebrated the end of the year by attending a fun “Dancer & Mom Self Defense” class at the Bushido School of Mixed Martial Arts in Brewster.
Each of the dancers and their moms got a great work out and learned valuable women’s self defense skills from the great female teachers – Sensei Karen Marsh, Deshi Ginger Hardman, and Sempai Deanna Mihalco.
Each student got to practice the techniques they were taught including their kicking and punching skills and then finishing off by breaking a piece of wood in half. Everyone had a great time and learned valuable lessons to avoid becoming a victim.
