Local Dance Students Take a Special Trip to Broadway’s "A Bronx Tale"

On August 23rd, over 70 dance students, parents and teachers from Seven Star School of Performing Arts were able to tread the boards of a Broadway stage thanks to the studio’s special guest artist, Michelle Aravena. Ms. Aravena is a Swing and Assistant Dance Captain for “A Bronx Tale” directed Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks, written by Chazz Palminteri, with songs Alan Menken and Glenn Slater.

At this performance, Ms. Aravena played the role of Rosina, the mother of the show's protagonist Calogero. After the performance, students were invited onto the stage and had a special meet and greet with Ms. Aravena. They were thrilled to get her autograph and ask questions about being a performer on Broadway.

Ms. Aravena is also an audition coach. She recently provided coaching and audition assistance to a Seven Star Student, Katie Grgecic, who is currently touring with “The Sound of Music”. For more information about audition coaching, contact Michelle Aravena at MichelleAravena478@gmail.com.

Seven Star School is currently accepting registrations for their 2017-2018 season and is located at 509 Route 312 in Brewster. For more information, call 845.278.0728 or visit www.SevenStarSchool.com
