The HPV and Oral Cancer Epidemic in Tweens and Teens

20 years ago, approximately 20% of oral cancers were HPV-related. Currently, the number has grown to over 50% (Source: American Association of Cancer Research).

HPV oral cancer in tweens and teens has become an epidemic.

By the year 2020, oral cancer will beat out cervical cancer as the most common HPV-related cancer. This is not a topic that is easily discussed, but parents and kids need to be educated on these issues.

This invaluable seminar will discuss a wide variety of topics such as:
- The changing sexual behaviors among tweens and teens
- What is HPV oral cancer?
- How does HPV cause cancer?
- How HPV oral cancer has become an epidemic in young adults
- The HPV vaccine
- Signs and symptoms of HPV oral cancer

The seminar is free, and refreshments and beverages will be included.
