BHS Assistant Principal Retires

Statement from Brewster Central School District regarding Mr. Kieran Stack

November 1, 2017

Dear Parents,

This letter is to inform you that effective immediately, Mr. Kieran Stack, Assistant Principal of Brewster High School, is retiring and will not be returning to the District. This is a personal decision made by Mr. Stack. You should also be aware that Mr. Stack’s retirement is in no way linked to the arrest of Christopher Vlangas. The events are separate and unrelated. Mr. Stack’s retirement will be acted upon at a Board of Education meeting scheduled for November 2 at 5:30pm. This is being done so that we can advertise the vacancy as quickly as possible and begin the recruitment process rather than wait for the next scheduled Board meeting on November 14.

In the meantime, Mr. Harvey Schnall will serve as the interim Assistant Principal at Brewster High School until we hire a new Assistant Principal. He has served in a number of interim administrator roles in the District, knows the staff and has done a great job.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Warm regards,

Valerie Henning-Piedmonte, Ed.D.
