Mad Science Rocketry Show at Kent Library 7/25
Join the Kent Public Library for a fun and exciting rocketry school, presented by Mad Science! The rockets will take off on Monday, July 25th from 4:00pm -5:00pm. Take to the skies as this introduction to rocketry explains how and why rockets fly. You’ll witness real model rocket launches that soar several hundreds of feet into the air and deploy parachutes for their return. This is an outdoor show. No registration required. In the event of inclement weather a substitute show will be held in Town Hall.
Michael Zeilnhofer presents Saturn at Kent Library, 7-25
Michael Zeilnhofer will be back at Kent Public Library on Monday, July 25th from 6:30-7:30 to present Saturn. The second largest planet in our solar system is Saturn. It is home to one of the most fascinating sights in the solar system. This program will discuss the formation of Saturn, its composition, atmosphere, temperature, and orbit, its influence on the early solar system, various moons, such as Enceladus and Titan, and its rings. This program is for those 10 and up. Registration is required. Space is limited.

DIY Crafts at Kent Library 7/28
Throughout the summer, the Kent Public Library will be holding DIY Crafts on select Thursdays in July and August. Join us on Thursday, July 28th from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm to make Adinkra T-Shirts! For this craft, you'll need to bring your own white t-shirt. Crafts are for those ages 10 & up. Registration is required for each session of DIY Crafts.
Little Giants at Kent Library 7/29
Kent Public Library will be having Movie Matinee Fridays this summer. Join us from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm to enjoy sports themed movies. On Friday, July 29th we'll be showing "Little Giants." Misfits form their own opposing team to an elite peewee football team, coached by the elite team coach's brother. Directed by Duwayne Dunham, the film stars Rick Moranis and Ed O’Neill. This movie is rated PG. Popcorn will be served. Registration is required.
