Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival play-Writing Workshop

Come to the Kent Library on Saturday, June 24th from 12:00-2:00 and participate in a FREE Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival play-Writing Workshop!  The theme is Forward, Forward, Sister in celebration of Women's suffrage. HVSF will produce its second annual HVSF Bakeoff, a festival of short plays by Hudson Valley residents, as part of our HVSF2 reading series. We'll start with a series of local workshops offering support and guidance to citizen writers looking to dive head-first into playwriting. Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Paula Vogel, with initial suggestions from workshop participants, will prepare a collection of words or phrases to inspire new plays around a theme, and workshop participants will then be invited to submit a ten-minute script incorporating some of Vogel's 'ingredients.' Registration is required. Register at  https://hvshakespeare.org/full-circle/projects.html . There are limited spots available. Ages 11 to adult.    The library is located at 17 Sybil's Crossing, Kent Lakes, NY 10512.
