Musicals at Richter Celebrate Renovation Grant

CELEBRATE RICHTER Sunday, October 15 from 2 – 5 pm

Danbury lawmakers accepted a $1 million state grant in 2016 that will be combined with $500,000 in city money to renovate the first floor of the Richter House.

The 1920 Richter House, which is listed on the Connecticut Register of Historic Places, is part of a 230-acre park and championship golf course that was donated to the city in 1968.

This Sunday, the public is invited to see the house as it stands now, and to talk with Friends of Richter board members. On display throughout the house will be the 2017 Juried Art Show & Sale and in the library will be a rendering of the renovations to the house.

Performances by Musicals at Richter will take place throughout the afternoon.

Mayor Mark Boughton will be joining the festivities, along with State Representative David Arconti and Danbury Town Clerk, Jan Geigler, who served as State Representative at the time of the grant.

Join us on Sunday for light refreshments and great entertainment as Richter is celebrated as the gem it is, and see a glimpse of it's incredible future!
