Sloan Wainwright and friends will get the holiday season off to a rollicking, tune-filled start with her 18th Annual Holiday Extravaganza Whiz-Bang Shin-Dig Concert, Saturday, December 9 at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, 44 Village Green in Bedford. An uplifting evening of holiday music, Sloan has assembled a big band, her backup singers, The Snow Flakes, and special guests to unpack traditional and contemporary holiday favorites as well as many original songs. Among those joining Sloan are Sesame Street Muppeteer Peter Linz with some of his special friends; singer songwriter Julie Snow; songwriter and Dobro player Abbie Gardner; singer songwriter Sam McTavey, John Jay High School’s Rolling Tones, and, as always, a special surprise guest or two.
