Library Referendum Passes According to Unofficial Results

Brewster Library Director,  Gina Loprinzo announced late last night that unofficial results show that the proposition passed. Ms. Loprinzo stated, "A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported the library expansion project at the polls tonight! The unofficial results show that the proposition passed! We are so excited to move into the future, and become the community center the residents of Southeast deserve!   Stay tuned for information about the progress of our project in the months to come."

The Brewster Library expansion will result in ADA compliance, bigger space for additional programming and events and private study rooms all while retaining the historic facade and main reading room. Read this article for further details.

Former trustee and board president, Stefanie Gosselink recently explained in a Patch article:"I observed tiny libraries become beautiful big ones. More, they became not just libraries, but vigorous additions to their community in more ways than just loaning books. They became such energetic and vital contributions to their settings, it's hard to imagine them not being there."
