I’ve been a resident of Brewster for over 20 years, and although I’ve passed Heidi’s Inn almost every other day, I had never visiting the hotel until last night at the Brewster Chamber of Commerce After Biz Holiday Mixer.

The inviting lobby with its mix of classic and contemporary elements offers a warm welcome.  From its beautiful fireplace to its antique room reservation cabinet, Heidi’s Inn provides a charming location for visiting family and friends.

The holiday season is a busy time for Heidi’s Inn, so don’t delay in making a reservation.  Right off 684 and 84, Heidi’s Inn is ideally located for quick travel. They offer a shuttle service for $20 per person to local venues such as Daryl’s House and Ridgefield Playhouse.  Owner Sean Diggin is commemorating his heritage by partially underwriting Ridgefield Playhouse’s Christmas with The Celts.  They also have a pleasant walking path to get to their neighboring restaurant, Las Mananitas.

Here’s a bit about Heidi’s Inn from their Marketing Coordinator, Stella Koret:

Open for business in 1956, Heidi's Inn has become a local landmark and lodging icon, consisting of 4 buildings containing 40 guest rooms. It is sprawled on a relaxing country setting, with picnic areas, grills, and an outdoor salt-water swimming pool with hand crafted stone fire-pit, surrounded by flowering landscapes on 20+ acres of woodlands.

Built by the German, Von Heidi family, and later purchased in the1980s by the current owners, the Diggin Family of Irish and Finish descents, Heidi's Inn has an interesting European flair to it, fused with modern upgrades such as HD flat screen TV's and laminate hard-wood flooring in many of the guest rooms! Some of the unique features of the hotel are rooms with fully equipped kitchens, the glass atrium-like lobby, shuttle service to airports and local venues and the giant 6 foot by 10 foot fireplace in the lobby which was made from stones the current owners harvested off the hotel property.

Not only is Heidi's Inn one of the few lodging options in all of Putnam County, it is also one of the few dog-friendly hotels in the area. With its own resident, white mild-mannered Labrador, Charlie, the hotel has accommodated countless people traveling with their four-legged companions. The hotel staff is proud to create a welcoming and friendly place that people have often described as a 'home away from home', which is reflective of the raving reviews on Trip Adviser and Yelp. It has become a destination location all on it's own for couples and families looking for a fun getaway in the Hudson River Valley.

Heidi’s Inn is located at 1270 Route 22 in Brewster NY 10509. For more information call (845) 279.8011 or visit www.HeidisInn.com.
