Brewster Dancers Compete in Worcestor, MA

This past weekend, the entire Seven Star School of Performing Arts (SSSPA) team (company, collective and crew) traveled to Worcestor, MA to compete at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge.  SSSPA has participated in this competition often over the past few years but we haven’t been back at the Worcestor event for a while and were excited to return.  There were over 900 numbers the entire weekend from 13 different studios.  It was a very long, but very successful weekend!  Many SSSPA dancers were awarded with overall placements in solos, duo/trios, and groups as well as technique and choreography achievements!

The highest achievement you can receive at Hall of Fame is the “Inductee” award in which the highest scoring routine in each age category is placed online in the Hall of Fame archive for all to see for years and years.  SSSPA senior collective group was honored with the top scoring routine in the teen division with their contemporary number “Everything.”  Teen soloist, Amanda Ostuni, was also awarded a slot on the Hall Of Fame site as an MVP winner for her solo “Beloved.”  "From the dancer who performed his or her solo for the first time, to the older dancers who continue to work hard to achieve their goals even after doing so year after year-everyone had a special moment! We are so proud of all of our dancers for shining bright! Congratulations to all!” -Nicole Aravena and Jaclyn Yarusso
