Trendy and Chic Sizo Salon in Patterson Brings Your Inner Beauty Out

You don’t need to head into the city to get a chic salon experience. Sizo Salon in Putnam Lake offers trendy styles as well as classic cuts to meet the needs of the whole family.

Meaning "Scissors" in French, Sizo Salon was founded by owner Maria Mangan who was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Maria’s vibrant personality provides a welcoming environment to her stylish salon.  In addition to their hair services, Sizo offers nail and waxing and starting in 2018, facials! They will be the only salon to offer all these services in one place within a 20 mile radius, allowing their clients to have a one stop shop for their beauty needs.

Since opening her doors over two years ago, Maria has grown Sizo from a solo operation to a staff of six.  Their team is comprised of skilled stylist and colorist but each has additional expertise in other services. Tabetha and Nicole will work their magic with facials. Nicole is also an up do specialist and makeup artist. Nicole is happy to offer advice, tips and the latest news on products to help you with your makeup questions. Kathy is also an up do specialist. Jenna is an assistant who is currently a Paul Mitchell student. Rounding out the team is Donna who is their nail technician and waxing specialist.  With all this talent, clients can select with confidence from Sizo's services. The added bonus is that there is no pretentious attitudes here; all the staff is warm and friendly.

The atmosphere of Sizo is intimate and chic with services to match. Only the highest quality products are used to provide the best results. For hair removal, Sizo uses the 100% botanical based Nufree system that is only available at select salons. Because Nufree isn't wax, you won't experience the pain and redness associated with waxing. Finipil, an antiseptic FDA registered lotion, helps prevent bumps, irritation and ingrown hairs. For healthy natural nails, Sizo offers SNS products. They are featuring a cat eye manicure, which creates the mesmerizing cat eye effect. One of their most popular services is Brazilian Blowout, which is a professional smoothing treatment. This smoothing treatment uses a sulfite free formula to improve the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle.  The treatment lasts three months and costs $195 with a special offer of $75 for the shampoo and conditioner.

Sizo is offering a few holiday specials as well:

  •       Hair services: $95  for a root touch-up, cut, deep conditioning and blowdry/style.
  •       Nail services: $75 for Gel Manicure or SNS Manicure (Natural Dip Powder) or French Manicure plus Spa Pedicure.

Sizo Salon has a dedicated local clientele and provides something unique in our area. “I want to keep things exciting and fun,” explains Maria, “ We love to introduce new styles for our more adventurous clients.” Because their strength lies in the whole makeover, Sizo’s staff is trained and educated in the latest techniques, styles and trends. They create a style to exceed their clients expectations.

What’s their tip for this winter? Keep your hair conditioned! Whether with a Brazilian Blowout or a deep conditioning treatment, conditioning you hair will help to replenish the moisture, which tends to get depleted from things such as the dry heat in your home and the cold winter air. You’ll avoid that frizzy look and have smooth shiny hair!
