BE CAREFUL with your kids & pets in the Starr Ridge area. There have been multiple sightings of a BLACK BEAR wondering around...and at about 5:30 this evening (6/24), a motorcyclist collided with the bear. The collision happened on Star Ridge just south of the I84 overpass and the black bear ran into the woods back behind the Friendly Road properties. Be wary, he/she could be INJURED, the biker was injured and bleeding but refused any kind of help or medical attention and left on his mangled motorcycle. Police are aware of the bear in the area.
