Danbury woman charged with felony drug possession following traffic stop on Route 6

On April 1, 2017, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested 27-year-old Taniqua D. Scott, of Danbury, Connecticut for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, a Class C Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of a Marihuana, a Violation.
 
Troopers stopped a Nissan Sentra traveling on State Route 6 for failing to maintain its designated lane of travel.  A subsequent investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle, Scott, unlawfully possessed MDMA (ecstasy), Tylenol with Codeine, and marihuana.
 
The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Justice Court before the Honorable Anthony Mole and remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.  She was directed to reappear in Southeast Court on April 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
