22-Year-Old Carmel Man Arrested for Selling Illegal Prescription Drugs in Putnam County

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of a Town of Carmel male on controlled substance sale and possession charges.

A deputy assigned to the Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department developed information that a male was involved in the sale of prescription medication within the county. The deputy was able to contact the subject and arrange for the purchase of prescription medication (Suboxone) on several occasions.

On January 11, 2018, Jamie J. Mclean, 22, of the Town of Carmel, was charged with three counts each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.

Mclean was arraigned before the Honorable Justice Thomas Jacobellis of the Town of Carmel Court and remanded to Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail.
