Friends of Richter Park, Inc. (FORe) is holding its annual fundraiser raffle

Danbury, CT- Friends of Richter Park, Inc. (FORe) is holding its annual fundraiser raffle. Friends of Richter Park is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization created to support and raise funds for the Richter Park Master redevelopment plan. Jim Blansfield, of Blansfield Builders has coordinated this year's raffle. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Pro Shop at Richter Park and at the desk at Golf Quest Family Sports Center in Brookfield. They may also be purchased from board members of Friends of Richter Park.

This year's raffle prizes include a $1,500 VISA® Gift Card, Green Fees and golf cart for one winner for 25 rounds (18 holes) of golf at Richter Park Golf Course good throughout the 2014 season, a 60" LG 1080P Plasma HDTV, and a $500 Gift Card redeemable at Costco. One prize will be awarded per winning ticket. Prizes are not transferable and winner need not be present at the September 17, 2013 drawing.

The Stanley L. Richter Memorial Park is a unique combination of both arts and recreational activities, attracting nearly 60,000 visitors annually. The championship golf course has been repeatedly recognized as one of America's finest golf courses and also features tennis courts, hiking trails; cross-country ski trails and sledding. During the summer, there are outdoor musicals and, throughout the summer and early fall, the Richter Association for the Arts conducts shows and exhibits. Richter Park does not receive city funding and needs community supporters to help raise money to make major improvements the Richter House which was placed on the Connecticut Register of Historic Places in 2008, as well as the golf course, tennis courts and hiking trails.
