Making Cards for Veterans

A Revolutionary Honoring

The Connecticut Society of the Children of the American Revolution and the Mary Wooster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are sponsoring a joint project as a way of honoring our veterans during the upcoming holiday season.

Home Made Holiday Cards

On Saturday, November 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Danbury Museum & Historical Society, these two organizations will come together to create homemade holiday cards for our veterans at the Rocky Hill Veterans Home in Rocky Hill, CT.

Participants will also make tray cards for our veterans at Home of the Brave in Bridgeport, CT and these will be placed on their food trays on Christmas day.

The Occasion Wants You

We’d like to extend an invitation to the public to join us for this occasion. Our veterans have sacrificed much for our benefit and this is a small way for us to repay them.

Stop by, help out and meet us members of both organizations. Discover what these groups do and learn whether or not you might meet the criteria to join one or the other.

Refreshments will be served and we look forward to welcoming you!
