October 25th “FUN-raiser” to benefit organization’s work to prevent child abuse and neglect

Danbury, CT, October 21, 2014:  On Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 8pm, the Elizabeth and Joseph Massoud Family Foundation will host the 6th annual FAMILIES NETWORK of Western CT, Inc. Halloween Party at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in Danbury. The annual event, dubbed a “FUN-raiser”, will benefit the Greater Danbury community organization’s child abuse and prevention efforts.

“Last year’s Halloween Party was a huge success,” said Susan Giglio, Executive Director of FAMILIES NETWORK of Western CT, Inc. “Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our business community and individual supporters, we were able to raise close to $8,000 towards our child abuse and neglect prevention efforts. This year we are so pleased to have the Elizabeth and Joseph Massoud Family Foundation as our title sponsor, lending their vital support and their name to the party.”

The Halloween Costume Party will feature a DJ, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, a dessert buffet, and cash bar. In addition, there will be a silent auction for a variety of gifts and services provided by local businesses and a contest for the best costume. Tickets for the FUN-raiser are $25 per person and benefit FAMILIES NETWORK of Western CT, Inc.

The Party begins at 8pm and the fun goes on until midnight. The Matrix Conference and Banquet Center is located at 39 Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury. FAMILIES NETWORK of Western CT, Inc., provides public awareness, early identification of over-burdened families, parenting education and support services to new families, child abuse and neglect prevention, child development screenings, home visitation, and referrals to community resources.  The organization provides these service free of charge, and strives to create healthy family relationships, improve child development and health outcomes and reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect.
