French Art in Connecticut at The Brookfield Library

Coming Next Week:  French Art in Connecticut

Thursday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. at The Brookfield Library

Take a journey through some of Connecticut's museums and galleries, including the Wadsworth Museum, the Hill-Stead Museum and Yale University Art Gallery, to experience some of the famous artists of France, including Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne and Claude Monet.

Brian Denyer, of the Alliance Francaise and a retired teacher of French language, art and literature from the Taft School, will present this free program.  Mr. Denyer led students on "School Year Abroad" to France, and also coordinated trips to various art museums.  He enjoys painting, especially landscapes, writes poetry in French and English, and is the author of several French workbooks.

Registration is appreciated--it helps us to plan seating.  Sign up online or by calling the library, 203-775-6241.
