Animal Embassy: Athletes of the Animal Kingdom at the Brookfield Library July 26th

Animal Embassy:
Athletes of the Animal Kingdom
Tuesday, July 26
3:30-4:30 p.m.

With this interactive, educational and entertaining program, families will encounter a diversity of creatures with amazing athletic skills. We’ll meet frogs that furiously unfurl their tongues to catch insects & giant prey, lizards that mark their territory with vigorous push-ups, rabbits that escape predators by sprinting, and birds that can fly formidable distances! We’ll discuss how some of these skills help each animal athlete to survive in its habitat as well as why, like us, our animal friends need a nutrient-rich & healthy diet to support their activities. We will explore a myriad of athletic feats with live Animal Ambassadors such as a Veiled Chameleon, an Argentine Black & White Tegu, Gray Tree Frogs, a Rabbit, a Carpet Python, a Eurasian Eagle Owl and a Lovebird.

Ages 4+. No Registration Required. See our Kids Calendar for more fun events.

*Please note: The orange summer reading brochure incorrectly listed this program with at 6:30 p.m. start time. The correct time is 3:30 p.m.*
