Are you and your family staying home next week for April break?

Need some ideas to make this the best "staycation" ever?

Here's a short list of ten ideas to help get you through the week!

1. CT Science Center – the CT Science Center is an interactive science and technology museum that has something for everyone. Their current featured exhibit will help you go back in time to ancient Egypt and explore artifacts, mysterious clues and mummies!

2. Southford Falls State Park – dust off your hiking boots, pack a picnic and come check out the falls!

3. Brookfield Public Library – Check out their offerings this week. Please note that Library will be closed on Good Friday.

4. Go camping INSIDE! Set up the tent in the living room, grill a couple of burgers outside, set up a firepit, turn off all the lights and have a flashlight scavenger hunt. Tell stories, sing music, have fun!

5. Game Night – break out your favorite games and have a game day/night marathon! Let everyone choose a game, get the snacks ready and have some friendly competition.

6. Go see a movie! Edmond Town Hall is open again after renovations to their digital equipment. FROZEN is playing starting Saturday April 12 – Thursday, April 17th. At just $2 a ticket, it's a time the whole family can enjoy!

7. Mark Twain House – learn more about this great author and check out the exhibits in this very interesting museum. It features Twain's work and legacy and much more!

8. Brownstone Park – This fabulous park set in a former quarry in Portland, CT is a perfect way to get your muscles moving and perhaps experience something you've never done before such as, zip lining, rock climbing, kayaking and much more!

9. Have a pajama day. A day with no plans, no agenda, no worries. Just you and those you love. Be comfortable, relax and enjoy!

10. Recipe cook off – hop on over to the grocery store and buy some ingredients. Challenge your family members to a recipe cook off and see what delicious ideas you can come up with!

Have a great week!
