Holy Week and Passover: A Week of Opportunity

  This week is very extraordinary. We have the solemnity of the Christian Holy Week, with the beautiful promise of hope and renewal; and we have the Jewish week of Passover, with the freeing message of redemption and victory.

Whatever spiritual stripe we wear, if any, we can use this week with all it's inspiring messages as a mini boot camp for our lives.

A lot can be accomplished in a week! Think of all the ways we can free ourselves from what stands in between us and a better path. Maybe it's the "I'm sorry," that's on the tip of our tongue that can finally be set free.

Or we can take time each day this week to pray or meditate with the hope of drawing ourselves closer to our own hearts, so we can help heal someone else's.

On a lighter side, it can be a week full of organizing and renewing after our long, harsh winter.

The message of Holy Week and Passover is tied to the message of Spring: Renewal, Hope, Victory. This week can be a spring-board (no pun intended) to grasp that little something just a bit out of our reach.
