Brookfielders Celebrate National Senior Center Month

Celebrate National Senior Center Month at the Brookfield Senior Center this September. Here's a quick look at the many offerings the center provides for the community.

This year's national celebration theme is:

SENIOR CENTERS: Experts at Living Well

DISCOVER: Discover new friends in Hot Topics. Discover your local parks in our Hike and Learn group. Join the center for trips and discover adventure and new friends. "Explore. Dream. Discover."  (Mark Twain).

PLAY: Play a game of Farkle, Bingo or Scattegories. No experience necessary and lots of fun is promised! Join the Wii bowlers for a morning of fun and laughter! "It is a happy talent to know how to play." (Ralph Waldo Emerson). 

CREATE: Join a class! They offer Drawing and Painting classes, knitters or quilters. Learn to carve wood or join ceramics AND BEYOND! Join Sharps and Flats or 4 strings and create music and joy! "Some pursue happiness; others create it". (Anonymous)

CHALLENGE: Challenge yourself physically by joining one of the center's exercise classes. Join a computer class or facebook class and challenge yourself to learn new things. Join a book discussion group! "A new challenge keeps the brain kicking and the heart ticking." (E. A. Bucchianeri).
