Candlewood Company participated in the 2016 Candlewood Lake Authority Candlewood Lake Clean Up. It is an annual event where boaters are encouraged to spend the day cleaning up the lake. The fire department always takes this opportunity to give back to the Candlewood Lake community by spending the day helping remove debris and garbage from the water and from the various islands on the lake. This year's event was successful in filling another 30-yard dumpster which will hopefully make the lake safer for wildlife, residents, and tourists enjoying the lake during the upcoming summer season.
