Important Information on Delivery of Items To and From Other Libraries

Information on the Temporary Service Interruption for the Statewide Interlibrary Loan System

We know that many of you rely on the Connecticut interlibrary loan delivery system (DeliverIT) to get items from libraries around the state. Beginning June 19, you will not be able to place holds on items from other libraries. As of July 3, this system will be suspended in order to restructure. The delivery system is operated by the Connecticut State Library.

Delivery, statewide, is estimated to resume on July 17, with a reduced number of items transported daily. As you likely already know, our particular library is on a route that has had only intermittent service over the past several months. We anticipate this newly revised system will provide better, more consistent service in the short term. We will keep you apprised of any changes in the system going forward. If you experience especially long wait times for items after July 17, please let us know.

Feel free to visit the Connecticut State Library site CT State Library website for further information or DeliverIT information page.
