Danbury Area Computer Society Announces Next Meeting

At the November General Meeting of the Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS), our member, Bruce Preston, will explain how secure data communication is done, covering encryption and decryption, authentication by digital certificates, secure Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, SSL connections, and the use of a proxy server for anonymity.  Mr. Preston will finish by talking about security breaches. The explanations will be in "layman’s terms" and easy to follow.

The meeting will take place at 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 4th, in the Danbury Hospital Auditorium.

DACS General Meetings are free and open to the public. Directions and more information are available at www.DACS.org. Doors open at 6:30 PM for registration and casual networking. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM with Ask DACS, an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8:00 PM.

DACS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
