Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman to Speak at Family Centers Event on May 2

On Tuesday, May 2 at 7:30 a.m., Family Centers will welcome Meg Whitman, Hewlett Packard Enterprise President & CEO, as the latest speaker in its Titans Series.  The event will be held at the Stamford Marriott, located at 243 Tresser Blvd. in Stamford.

Family Centers’ Titan Speaker Series brings America’s greatest leaders to Fairfield County for intimate and captivating discussions.  Previous speakers have included Dr. Henry Kissinger, former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, financial news anchor Maria Bartiromo and former CIA Director Jack Devine.

In this rare East Coast appearance, Ms. Whitman will focus on the rapid growth of the technology industry, and its influence on the global economy.  She will also draw upon her own experiences to discuss leadership, innovation and management.

Tickets start at $100, and proceeds will support Family Centers’ early education and preschool programs.  Several exciting sponsorship opportunities, many of which include a meet and greet with Ms. Whitman, are also available at www.familycenters.org.

Since her appointment as HP's President & CEO in 2011, Ms. Whitman has led the company's turnaround and subsequent separation into two companies - Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc.  She also instilled a renewed focus on HP's Research & Development Division.

Ms. Whitman also served at President & CEO of eBay Inc. from 1998-2008.  During that time, she oversaw the company's growth from 30 employees and $4 million in annual revenue to more than 15,000 employees and over $8 billion in annual revenue.
