Celebrating Hope 2017 Presents Hill Harper

Hill Harper is well-known for his roles on Showtime’s Homeland and the hit CBS drama CSI: NY, yet, his dedication off-screen as a philanthropist and health and wellness ambassador continues to shape a lasting legacy.

In 2010, Harper faced the fear of a cancer diagnosis and once he had beaten the disease, he pledged to make a difference in the lives of others.  On Friday, May 5, Hill Harper will share his personal journey and inspiration during Celebrating Hope 2017. Through his work on the President’s Cancer Panel, he has witnessed the impact that research can have on a disease. “Research has led to the development of diverse interventions to reduce the risk of cancer and more effectively treat some cancers, enabling many individuals to survive diagnoses that previously were almost universally fatal,” offers Harper. “I am hopeful that increased research dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease will produce a similar outcome and that we can find a cure in the near future,” he adds.
