Supporters gather at Greenwich Hospital’s GLOW Gala Patron Reception

On Wednesday, October 4, Patrons, Benefactors, and Sponsors of the 2017 GLOW Gala for Greenwich Hospital gathered at the dazzling Greenwich Avenue location of Shreve, Crump and Low to celebrate the upcoming fundraising event. Attendees enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while admiring the spectacular jewelry collection at the store, including a lariat-style Tahitian pearl necklace that was donated for the gala’s live auction.

President Norman G. Roth thanked Olivia Walker and the team at Shreve, Crump and Low for hosting the party, the committee for their enthusiastic efforts in creating an incredible evening, and all of the supporters, whose generosity help the gala raise significant funds for Oncology Services. Roth also recognized the important work being done by the hospital’s oncology team, made up of world-class physicians and clinicians who are leaders in their fields.

The GLOW Gala will be held on Saturday, October 21 at Greenwich Country Club at 6:30 pm. “Glow” was selected as the theme for this year’s décor, which will be masterfully created by designer Reed McIlvaine of Renny & Reed Floral and Event Designs in New York. Guests will “light up the night” at this radiant, black tie evening that will include silent, live and fine wine auctions with dancing to the music of The Billy Stone Band. During the evening ceremonies, Philip McWhorter, MD, director of Surgery, will receive the President’s Award for his many years of dedicated service to Greenwich Hospital.
