Greenwich First Selectman Announces "Access Greenwich" Mobile App

First Selectman Peter J. Tesei is pleased to announce the pilot launch of “Access Greenwich,” a new tool for residents to submit requests online and through a free mobile application. In addition to the already numerous ways residents can interact with Town departments, this service allows residents to submit issues through a web portal or with their smart phones, attach photos, and track the progress of their requests.

With a long-term plan of extending this service to cover other Town departments, it is initially being introduced by the Department of Parks and Recreation. Residents will be able to report issues at Town parks, playgrounds, trees, athletic fields, and other areas. The plan is to run the pilot through December 2015, evaluate the system, and then expand it to other Town departments.

“This system will enhance our efforts to provide exceptional customer service to Greenwich residents. Under the direction of the Senior Management Analyst, this system can be used as a tool for process improvement and allocation of resources,” Mr. Tesei stated.

Search the Apple App Store or Google Play for "Access Greenwich" and download the app to your mobile device to submit a service request.

To submit a request online, visit the Parks and Recreation home page and click on "Report an Issue." http://www.greenwichct.org/contact_us/access-greenwich/

Mr. Tesei would like to thank the Parks and Recreation staff for their efforts in getting the system up and running, and incorporating it into their operations.

The Town launched the application in partnership with PublicStuff, a civic software company. PublicStuff is now part of Accela, a leading provider of cloud-based civic engagement solutions for government.
