HamletHub's Books Ink Earns First Place Awards in 2017 Connecticut Press Club Communications Contest

We are proud to announce that two members of the HamletHub team have won first place in the 2017 Connecticut Press Club Communications Contest.

Westport resident and Founder/Editor of Books Ink at HamletHub earned the prestigious award for her Gilmore Girls column in the category of General Columns. Both “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte and Washington Irving were noted exceptional.

Jessica Collins of Ridgefield, Books Ink Contributing Editor and HamletHub writer, won top spot for her weekly feature “On the Children’s Shelf” in the Personal Opinion category. Two features, Giving Thanks for Books and Life Lessons from Harry Potter were recognized.

Both Sally and Jessica will accept their awards at a celebratory cocktail party and awards ceremony in May at The Boathouse Restaurant in Westport.

The newly reinvigorated Press Club rewards excellence in communications in a wide range of categories. Entries in 64 categories were judged by out-of-state professionals with corresponding expertise.

The Connecticut Press Club is an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW), and includes both male and female members.
