Actor/Director Ron Howard Sells Estate for $27.5 Million

The award winning director Ron Howard put his home up for sale earlier this year with an asking price of $27.5 million. It has set records in Westchester County for the most expensive single family home ever sold. The deal was closed just a few days ago.

Howard and his wife Cheryl had called the Conyers Farm Estate their home for the past 20 years. Located in the hamlet of Armonk, the estate sits on 32 acres of land. According to Coldwell Banker, the agency that handled the estate, the home is quite a treasure.

The estate sprawls majestically across 32 acres and features a pristine lake, lush woods, hiking and riding trails, and private parks that offer up fantastic views of that cool and crisp lake...While the grounds that cradle the Howard estate are unspoiled and spectacular, the main residence takes a backseat for no one. The classic New England main residence offers up over 17,000 square feet of interior living space, features 6 bedrooms, a private two-story library/office, indoor saltwater pool and a 14 seat movie theatre good enough for movie royalty.

This remarkable home has clearly set all sorts of precedents in Armonk as well as Westchester County. It is a beautiful home that has been marveled at for years, and it is the hope that the new owners cherish it as much as the Howard's did.
