Family Centers Officially Opens New Health Clinic in Greenwich

Family Centers Health Care (FCHC), a new Federally Qualified Health Center located at Wilbur Peck Court in Greenwich, officially celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Monday, July 25.

Nearly 50 members of the community and Town officials helped mark the occasion.  In addition to remarks from Family Centers’ President Bob Arnold, Greenwich Housing Authority Chairman Sam Romeo and Family Centers’ Director of Health Care Programs Dennis Torres, Rep. Jim Himes and a representative from Sen. Chris Murphy’s office spoke about how the new clinic will provide residents with increased access to quality health care services.

FCHC was made possible by a “New Access Points” grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and additional support from the TurningPoint Foundation, the Mark Family Foundation and the Greenwich Housing Authority. 

FCHC is operated by Family Centers and staffed by nurse practitioners, dentists and other medical professionals, the clinic provides primary health care and dental services to children and adults living in Greenwich Public Housing units, Section 8 housing and the surrounding neighborhoods. The clinic features three medical examination rooms and a full dental suite.

Services at FCHC include: Treatment of illnesses and minor injuries, Management of chronic conditions, Physical exams, Immunizations, Dental exams and x-rays, Oral treatment planning, Restorative dentistry, Dental hygiene, Wellness and prevention services, Case management and much more.
