Hobbs London will open its first US flagship store in Greenwich on April 26

UK Brand Understated Style Comes to Greenwich Connecticut

The retailer best known for it’s understated British style, and one of the Duchess of Cambridge’s favorite fashion labels has firmly landed on U.S. shores. Hobbs London will open its first US flagship store in Greenwich, CT on April 26.

“We look forward to giving the successful, confident women of Greenwich an alternative label,” says Jim Walters, Hobbs USA President, “with contemporary clothing and accessories to manage their busy schedules spanning both casual and formal needs, all with a playful British twist, of course.”

Inspired by elegant British living, Hobbs’ new Greenwich store brings a touch of London to Connecticut.
Creative Director, Sandy Verdon states, “Each piece displayed in the store has been lovingly collected and curated by our team to bring a touch of the Hobbs’ DNA to Greenwich. From magnificent gilt mirrors to exquisitely designed clothing and accessories, it showcases everything we stand for: understated British style, luxury and unrivalled quality.”
At the same time, the décor reflects its new home; American craftsmanship is woven throughout with locally sourced lighting, furniture and upholstery.

In this 1400 sq. ft. flagship in the heart of Greenwich Avenue, shoppers will discover The Hobbs’ Palace Collection, an award-winning range created in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity that cares for six magnificent palaces, including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, as well as occasion wear, smart-casual styles and work attire – all timeless and grown up, but never dated or dull.

Verdon adds, “Original furniture has been carefully renovated by craftsmen to perfectly merchandise the clothing and bespoke cushions have been knitted and embroidered in our atelier to create the foundation in which to present the heroines of our story, the clothes, the footwear and accessories. It’s simply who we are.”

The Greenwich flagship joins a pop-up shop at The Westchester, in White Plains and national distribution through Bloomingdales.
