Danbury Call for Volunteers for Clean City Day

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Residents are being asked to volunteer on Clean City Day in Danbury.

Mayor Mark Boughton has announced the next Clean City Danbury Day for Saturday, May 19th, and volunteers are needed!

Mayor Mark Boughton explained, "The number of Clean City clean-up volunteers have slowly been decreasing over the last few years. In order for this event to serve its purpose of keeping our community beautiful, we need more organizations, businesses, friends and families to participate."

This annual event, now in its 9th year, has traditionally brought together over 1,000 individuals for trash collection throughout the City. The Mayor's Office provides registered clean-up volunteers with free supplies to clean-up their neighborhoods including trash bags, safety vests and plastic gloves.

Individuals are asked to register to volunteer with the Mayor's Office through Wednesday, May 16th by calling 203-797-4511.

If you have any questions regarding this press release, please contact CityLine 311 at 203-744-4311, or Roger Palanzo in the Mayor's Office at 203-797-4511.
