2013 List of CT Fireworks Shows

Starting to think about where you're going to watch Fourth of July fireworks this year? Here's a comprehensive list of fireworks displays planned across Connecticut, alphabetized by town...

  • Bethany: The Bethany Freedom Festival will be at Eldon Lyon Park on July 4.
  • Bridgeport: June 28 will mark the Bridgeport Fireworks at 9:30 at Seaside Park.
  • New Canaan: The 33rd Annual New Canaan Family Fourth Fireworks will be at Wavenly Park on July 4. Rain date is July 5.
  • Bristol: Lake Compounce Amusement Park will be offering a firework display for park admission on July 5 at 10 p.m.
  • Cheshire: The Cheshire fireworks will be on July 4 at approximately 9:15 p.m. at Kurtz Farms
  • Coventry: The Fireworks at Coventry Lake, Patriots Park will be on Saturday June 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Danbury: Danbury's Fireworks will be on June 29 at dusk at Candlewood Lake
  • Darien: Town of Darien Firefighter's Foundation will be hosting fireworks at Darien High School on June 28. The event starts at 6:00 p.m.
  • Derby/Shelton: On July 3 fireworks will be displayed near the Derby/Shelton bridge over the Housatonic River shortly after dusk.
  • East Haven: East Haven's 13th Annual Fireworks and Beach Party will be on June 29 from noon to 9 p.m. on Cosey Beach.
  • East Lyme: Niantic Bay will be the location for East Lyme's fireworks on July 20 around 9 p.m.
  • Enfield: Following a "Taste of Enfield" the Fireworks Extravaganza will held at 820 Enfield St. and fireworks will begin around 9:45 on July 7.
  • Fairfield: The Fairfield Fireworks 4th of July Celebration will be at approximately 9:15 on July 4 at 880 Benson Road, Fairfield. Parking is free after 6 p.m.
  • Greenwich: Binney Park at Greenwich Point will be hosting fireworks on July 6 after dark.
  • Groton: Groton will be hosting fireworks at Fort Griswold State Park on Thames River on July 12 around 9:20 p.m.
  • Hamden: The Hamden Volunteer Firefighters Fireworks will be held in Town Center Park on Dixwell Ave. on June 28.
  • Hartford: The fireworks at Riverfest will begin at 9 p.m. but the festival will begin at 4 p.m. on July 6 at Mortensen Riverfront in Hartford.
  • Hebron: The fireworks at Hebron will be on June 29 at the Hebron Lyons Club.
  • Killingly/Dayville: Fireworks will be at Owen Bell Park on July 3 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
  • Lebanon: Fireworks will be visible from the Lebanon Green at 9:30 p.m. on July 7.
  • Madison: Fireworks will appear over West Wharf Beach on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. courtesy of Madison Fireworks Organization.
  • Manchester: The Manchester Fireworks will be a part of the Annual James "Dutch" Fogarty 4th of July Celebration on July 6 starting around 9:30 at Manchester Community College.
  • Meriden: The City of Meriden Recreation Department will be sponsoring fireworks at Hubbard Park at 9:15 p.m. on July 7.
  • Middlebury: Quassy Amusement Park will be hosting 3D Fireworks on July 4 at dark.
  • Middletown: The Middletown Fireworks Festival will begin around 6 p.m. on July 3 with fireworks around 9:30 p.m. at 245 deKoven Drive on the town hall lawn.
  • Mystic: The Mystic Blues Festival on the Mystic River will feature fireworks. The event is on June 28.
  • Naugatuck: Naugatuck's fireworks will be on July 3 at approximately 9 p.m on Maple Street downtown.
  • New Haven: East Rick Park will be hosting New Haven's fireworks on July 4 at 9 p.m. Free parking is available at Wilbur Cross High School.
  • Newington: Newington's fireworks will be at Mill Pond Park on July 20 after dark.
  • New Milford: Fireworks will be at the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce on July 5.
  • New Britain: Fireworks at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain will begin around 9:15 p.m. on July 4.
  • New London: New London's Salifest Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on July 13 around 9 p.m. at 124 State St.
  • Norwalk: Norwalk's fireworks will be at the Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department on July 3 after dusk.
  • Norwich: Norwich's 4th of July Extravagnaza will be on July 5 at 7 p.m. at the Marina at American Wharf.
  • Orange: The Orange Volunteer Fireman's Carnival at the Orange Fairground will contain a fireworks display on Aug. 3 a 10:30 p.m.
  • Putnam: Putnam's fireworks will be at Rotary Park on July 6 at approximately 9:15. In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed until July 7.
  • Ridgefield: The Ridgefield fireworks will be at Ridgefield High School on July 4 at dusk.
  • Rockville: Rockville's July in the Sky celebration will be in downtown Rockville at Henry Park and the Northeast School on July 2. Fireworks will start after dark.
  • Rowayton: Fireworks in Rowayton will be at Bayley Beach on July 4 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
  • Salisbury: On July 13 fireworks will be over Lime Rock Park courtesy of the Salisbury Rotary Club. There is a $20 admission for each car. Fireworks start after dark.
  • Simsbury: The Talcott Mountain Music festival at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadow is hosting Mozart in the Moonlight on Friday June 28 and Celebrate America on July. Fireworks will take place after the concerts which start at 7:30 p.m. on both days.
  • Stafford: Stafford's Summerfest 2013 at Stafford High School will feature Fireworks on July 6. In case of inclement weather the event will be postponed until July 7.
  • Stratford: Fireworks over Short Beach will be on July 3 at approximately 9:30 p.m. The rain date for the event is July 5.
  • Trumbull: The fields behind Trumbull High School and Hillcrest Middleschool will provide a viewing place for the Trumbull Day celebration featuring fireworks at dark.
  • Unionville: Unionville's Volunteer Fire Department Carnival will be hosting fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 12.
  • Vernon: Vernon's July in the Sky Celebration will be on July 2 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Henry Park. Fireworks will begin around 9:40 p.m.
  • Wallingford: Wallingford Fireworks will be at Sheehan High School on July 6 at 9:15 p.m.
  • Washington/Warren/Kent: Lake Waramaug State Park will the location for fireworks on July 5 starting at 9:30 p.m.
  • Waterbury: The Waterbury fireworks will be at Municipal Stadium on July 4 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
  • Westbrook: Fireworks will be visible over Westbrook from Water's Edge Resort and Spa, Wren Park, West Beach, and Westbrook Town hall on July 2 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
  • West Haven: The Savin' Rock Fireworks at Bradley Point on July 3.
  • Weston: The fireworks in Weston will be at Weston Middles School Field on July 4 around 9:20 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed until July 5.
  • Westport: On Compo Beach on July 3 the Westport Police Athletic League will be sponsoring a fireworks display over Westport.
  • Wilton: The Wilton Green will be the primary viewing spot for the 4th of July celebration in Wilton. The display will start after dark.
  • Windsor Locks: Fireworks in Windsor Locks will be at Veteran's Memorial Park Sponsored by the Fire Department on July 12. The display will start around 9:30 p.m.
