Love Wins to benefit The Ana Grace Project & Ana Márquez - Greene scholarship at WCSU

Love Wins! concert to benefit The Ana Grace Project and the Ana Márquez - Greene scholarship at WCSU will take place on Saturday, December 10 from 8-10pm at West Conn.

The event features Regina Carter on violin; Christian Sands on piano; Russell Malone on guitar; Ben Allison on bass; Alvester Garnett on drums and WCSU Coordinator of Jazz Studies Jimmy Greene on saxophone.

This event is being hosted by the WCSU Department of Music.

The Ana Grace Project was created in the aftermath of the Dec. 14, 2012, shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. The organization’s mission is to “promote love, community and connection for every child and family.” 

The Ana Grace Márquez - Greene Scholarship Fund at WCSU also was created after Dec. 14, 2012. Its purpose is to fund four-year scholarships at Western for music students.
