Young Ambassador for the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation hosts Christmas Skate for Charity at Danbury Ice Arena
On Saturday night, December 17 from 8:10-10:10 pm at the Danbury Ice Arena, the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation will host a Christmas Public Skate event to benefit The Garden of Dreams Foundation.
Natalie Kennedy, Young Ambassador for the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation and student at Immaculate High School in Danbury, has coordinated the event as part of her involvement with the Foundation. "Each Young Ambassador for the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation plans an independent service project during the year to help raise money and awareness ofr a charity close to their heart," says Natalie.
The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, through its fundraising efforts and community outreach, strives to create positive change in the lives of children and adults throughout the world with education and health services.
Natalie has been involved with the Garden of Dreams since 2009 when she was recovering from childhood cancer. "I'm so happy to be able to give back to the Garden of Dreams Foundation. They are an amazing organization and they bring a lot of joy and happiness to kids going through really tough times."
Henrik Lundqvist has donated one of his used goalie sticks to be raffled at the event.
The Danbury Titans have generously donated 4 home game tickets for a raffle prize, and Klash, their mascot, will join in the fun at the event.
Price of admission is $10. Guests wearing a Santa hat will get a free raffle ticket. Additional tickets are available for purchase with each paid admission and other raffle prizes will be available.
Danbury Ice Arena is located at 1 Independence Way, Danbury.
