Holiday Wine Pairing Class Supports the Paws at DAWS Fundraiser

On Sunday, November 19th 2017, Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) will host a Holiday Wine Pairing Class and fundraiser at Max Wine and Spirits 40 Mill Plain Rd. in Danbury. Tickets are $40 and proceeds will benefit the shelter.

The mission of DAWS is to promote responsible pet guardianship and to work toward ending animal overpopulation. They provide low cost services to families in need through their Angel Pet Program, in addition to providing quality medical care for the animals in their shelter and in foster care prior to adoption. Additionally, DAWS runs a “Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR)” program which is a humane and effective approach to deal with Danbury’s stray and feral cats colonies.

There are many ways to get involved with DAWS either through pet adoptions, volunteering, donating and attending events. For more information, follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DAWSpets/ or visit their website at http://www.daws.org/
