Come to Danbury Ice Arena on Saturday night, January 6 from 7-9PM when the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation (HLF), through Natalie Kennedy, a mentor of their Young Ambassador Program, will host their 2nd Annual Winter Public Skate event to benefit The Garden of Dreams Foundation.
The Garden of Dreams Foundation works to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles such as homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care.
Natalie Kennedy, a local student at Immaculate High School, has coordinated the event as part of her involvement with the foundation. "Each Young Ambassador/Mentor of The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation plans an independent service project during the year to help raise money and awareness for a charity close to their heart," says Natalie.
The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, through its fundraising efforts and community outreach, strives to create positive change in the lives of children and adults throughout the world through education and health services.
The Danbury Ice Arena has generously donated the 2-hour ice-time and all proceeds of admission, to The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation to benefit Garden of Dreams.
Henrik Lundqvist has donated one of his used goalie sticks to be raffled at the event. There will also be a signed Lundqvist jersey as well as a signed puck up for grabs with a winning raffle ticket.
Price of admission is $10. Raffle tickets are available for purchase and other raffle prizes will be available as well.
Danbury Ice Arena is located at 1 Independence Way, Danbury.
