James Sullivan CT Marshal & Danbury Resident has Died

James Sullivan

James Sullivan, 70, of Danbury, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Danbury Hospital.

James was born on June 15, 1945 in Bridgeport, CT; a son of the late James and Catherine (Clancy) Sullivan. He was a State of Connecticut Marshal and had resided in the greater Danbury and Ridgefield area for the past 45 years.

James was a member of Temple Shir Shalom of Ridgefield and he enjoyed art, reading, politics and playing golf.

James is survived by his son, Christopher Sullivan of Manchester, CT. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Sullivan of Milford, CT; a sister, Shaileen Kopec of Poughkeepsie, NY and by two nieces, Christina and Elizabeth Kopec. In addition, James is survived by his former wife, Madelynn Sullivan of Narragansett, RI.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a son, James Patrick.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in Temple Shir Shalom, 46 Peaceable St., Ridgefield with Rabbi David Reiner officiating. Interment will follow in Mapleshade Cemetery, Ridgefield. The family will receive friends at Temple Shir Shalom on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
