Go Behind The Scenes at The Met Gala at The Palace Danbury

Every year The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts one of the biggest events in the world of fashion…The Met Gala.

As invitations go, the Met Gala is the one to get. But good luck with that!  Alas, the closest most of us mere mortals will get to this event is Andrew Rossi's juicy, in-depth documentary, The First Monday In May.

The film was selected as the opening night film at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. On Sunday, May 1st, filmgoers will have the opportunity to see it in Danbury.

The First Monday in May gives viewers an unprecedented, behind the scenes look at the 2015 Met Gala, and the spectacular exhibition it honored,"China: Through The Looking Glass.”

This “super bowl of fashion events” was chaired by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The event attracted such luminaries as Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Lady Gaga, Julianne Moore, Kate Hudson, Grammy®-winning R&B superstar Rihanna, as well as fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano.

The First Monday in May will will be shown at the Palace Danbury on Sunday, May 1 at 1PM. Tickets cost $15 and may be purchased in advance by phone at 203 794-9944, online at tickets.thepalacedanbury.com, or at the box office starting one hour before the film. This screening is a Hearst Media Film Club selection.
