Local herbalist and educator Lupo Passero will conduct a public workshop on “Herbal Remedies for Stress” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Western Connecticut State University.
Passero, founder and director of Twin Star Herbal Education and Apothecary in New Milford, will discuss herbal remedy use in helping to combat a variety of stressors in everyday life. The workshop, sponsored by the WCSU Institute for Holistic Health Studies in cooperation with Twin Star, will be held in Room 127 of White Hall on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Public registrations for the class at a fee of $25 per person may be made online on the Twin Star website at www.twinstartribe.com. Inquiries about free registration for WCSU students with valid ID should be sent by email to Twin Star at info@twinstartribe.com.
Passero will discuss several of her favorite herbs for stress reduction and share recipes designed to incorporate them into regular usage. “Herbs have been used for centuries for health and wellness,” she observed, “and there are many common, safe and effective herbs that can be utilized to support and nourish our often overworked nervous systems.”
