RVNA presents Understanding the Buzzwords of Healthy Eating at Candlewood Valley Rehab Center

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is offering a Nutrition Program titled “Understanding the Buzzwords of Healthy Eating” on Friday, May 12 at Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. If you stroll through the grocery store aisles, you will see a myriad of healthy buzz words - organic, local, natural, sustainable. You might ask yourself, “What do these words really mean?” Join Meg Whitbeck, MS, RDN, RVNA Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, as she helps you navigate through these buzz words and learn what the best choices really are for healthy eating. This event, which will take place on Friday, May 12 at Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center from 1:00 - 2:00 pm is free and open to the public. Those interested should RSVP to Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center at 860.355.0971 ext. 24. Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center is located at 30 Park Lane West in New Milford.

About The Speaker

Meg Whitbeck, MS, RDN, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Scranton and a Masters of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University. She is the Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator at RVNA, where she teaches nutrition classes and seminars on a variety of nutrition-related topics, such as healthy family meals, weight management, and management of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
